Ingredients:

- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
- ¾ cup (160g) brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup (100g) chopped nuts (optional)
Method:
1️⃣ Preheat Oven:
- Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2️⃣ Mix Dry Ingredients:
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
3️⃣ Cream Butter & Sugar:
- In another large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
4️⃣ Add Eggs & Vanilla:
- Mix in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
5️⃣ Combine Wet & Dry Ingredients:
- Gradually add the flour mixture, stirring until just combined.
6️⃣ Fold in Chocolate Chips & Nuts:
- Gently mix in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
7️⃣ Scoop & Bake:
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
8️⃣ Cool & Enjoy:
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
