Firecracker Salmon
Firecracker Salmon 🔥
Ingredients:
- 2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
For the Firecracker Marinade:
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey (or brown sugar)
- 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust for spice level)
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
Instructions:
- Make the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, sriracha, red pepper flakes, vinegar, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and paprika.
- Marinate the Salmon: Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish or ziplock bag. Pour marinade over the salmon and let it sit for 15–30 minutes (or up to 1 hour for deeper flavor).
- Pan-Fry the Salmon: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Remove salmon from the marinade (reserve excess marinade) and cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Reduce the Sauce: In the same pan, pour in the leftover marinade and simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Serve: Drizzle the thickened sauce over the salmon and garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds. Serve with rice, roasted veggies, or a fresh salad.
