Fast Salmon with a Ginger Glaze

Fast Salmon with a Ginger Glaze 🐟✨

Ingredients:

  • 2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
For the Ginger Glaze:
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey (or maple syrup for a twist)
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or lemon juice)
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)

Instructions:

  1. Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, ginger, garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Pan-Sear the Salmon: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add salmon fillets, skin-side down, and cook for 3–4 minutes until crispy. Flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  3. Add the Glaze: Pour the glaze into the pan and let it simmer for 1–2 minutes, spooning it over the salmon until thick and glossy.
  4. Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions and serve with rice, steamed veggies, or a side salad.

Tip: Want it even faster? Use pre-grated ginger and garlic for an under-10-minute meal!
