Fast Salmon with a Ginger Glaze 🐟✨
Ingredients:
- 2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
For the Ginger Glaze:
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey (or maple syrup for a twist)
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or lemon juice)
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil (optional, for extra flavor)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
Instructions:
- Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, ginger, garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Pan-Sear the Salmon: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add salmon fillets, skin-side down, and cook for 3–4 minutes until crispy. Flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
- Add the Glaze: Pour the glaze into the pan and let it simmer for 1–2 minutes, spooning it over the salmon until thick and glossy.
- Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions and serve with rice, steamed veggies, or a side salad.
Tip: Want it even faster? Use pre-grated ginger and garlic for an under-10-minute meal!
