Easy Chili Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef (or turkey)
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 cup beef broth (or water)
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
Instructions:
- Cook the Meat: In a large pot over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Sauté Aromatics: Add diced onion and garlic to the pot. Cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.
- Add Ingredients: Stir in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato sauce, and beef broth.
- Season: Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir well.
- Simmer: Reduce heat to low and let simmer for at least 20–30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve & Enjoy: Serve hot with toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, or chopped cilantro.
