Classic Beef & Pork Stuffed Peppers
Ingredients:
- ½ lb ground beef
- ½ lb ground pork
- 4 large bell peppers, halved and deseeded
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp oregano
- ½ cup shredded cheese
Method:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown beef and pork in a pan with onion and garlic. Drain excess fat.
- Mix in rice, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and oregano.
- Fill bell peppers with the mixture, top with cheese.
- Place in a baking dish with a little water at the bottom. Cover with foil.
- Bake for 30 minutes, uncover and bake for another 10 minutes until cheese melts.
