Simple Beef Stroganoff
Easy Beef Stroganoff Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin or ground beef, sliced thin
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp flour (for thickening)
- 8 oz (225g) egg noodles, cooked
Instructions:
- Cook the Beef: Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté Vegetables: In the same pan, melt butter. Add onions, garlic, and mushrooms. Cook until softened.
- Make the Sauce: Sprinkle flour over the veggies and stir well. Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the Beef & Cream: Return the beef to the pan, then stir in sour cream. Simmer for another 5 minutes, but don’t let it boil.
- Serve: Spoon over cooked egg noodles and enjoy!
