 Simple Beef Stroganoff




Easy Beef Stroganoff Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin or ground beef, sliced thin
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp flour (for thickening)
  • 8 oz (225g) egg noodles, cooked

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Beef: Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. Sauté Vegetables: In the same pan, melt butter. Add onions, garlic, and mushrooms. Cook until softened.
  3. Make the Sauce: Sprinkle flour over the veggies and stir well. Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the Beef & Cream: Return the beef to the pan, then stir in sour cream. Simmer for another 5 minutes, but don’t let it boil.
  5. Serve: Spoon over cooked egg noodles and enjoy!
