Easy Chili Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth (or water)
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Meat: In a large pot over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Sauté Aromatics: Add diced onion and garlic to the pot. Cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.
  3. Add Ingredients: Stir in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato sauce, and beef broth.
  4. Season: Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir well.
  5. Simmer: Reduce heat to low and let simmer for at least 20–30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve & Enjoy: Serve hot with toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, or chopped cilantro.
