 Classic Beef & Pork Stuffed Peppers



Ingredients:

  • ½ lb ground beef
  • ½ lb ground pork
  • 4 large bell peppers, halved and deseeded
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ cup shredded cheese

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown beef and pork in a pan with onion and garlic. Drain excess fat.
  3. Mix in rice, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and oregano.
  4. Fill bell peppers with the mixture, top with cheese.
  5. Place in a baking dish with a little water at the bottom. Cover with foil.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes, uncover and bake for another 10 minutes until cheese melts.
